Life Isn't Science

My perspective without getting religious on you.

To me Science takes away how relevant God really is. It’s not that I don’t believe in science: It s just that Science has no grey area. It’s all black and white and we know that life is just not like that. We have miracles and divine intervention that science just can’t explain. Science is based upon hypotheses, conclusions and theories formed via repeated observations and experiments! This allows us to fashion and empirical and verifiable understanding of the world around us. Theories are said to be correct if they match up with the observed properties of the universe! However science makes the tactic assumption that the universe is predictable and orderly and regular, which may not always be the case!
What if some of the laws and theories of science were merely statistical and not always as accurate statistics show. Allow me to elaborate. Well, we say the speed of light is about 300,000 km/s, because s it’s been that every time we’ve measured it. Well if you add God the equation than the speed of light is subject to change from time to time because he has the power to do so at any giving time. We have people who survived injuries that science said should have killed them. Or what about people who come out of commas or people who were paralyzed and then able to walk again. Why is that people treat science as if it is a God because the power to create has to generate from something. I know that science makes sense but at the end of the day my chips are on God.

I know it's a touchy subject, but I would love to know your thoughts.

The Evolution Of Me

I’ve come to the realization that my thoughts and views as a teenager have changed over the years. In many significant ways I am an entirely different individual now as an adult.

So the question remains: Who Am I Now?
I am God Fearing, Loving, Independent, Responsible, Sensitive, Respectable, Self-less, Monogamous and Mature to name a few… clearly an opinion I have of myself I might add. lol

Who Was I Previously?
I was God Fearing, Loving, Dependent, Irresponsible, Blunt, Reckless, Selfish, Promiscuous and Immature. Although I may at times revert back to some of these traits I have definitely evolved.
(It’s amazing how we all felt so mature when we really weren’t.)

Is there
no connection between myself as a teenager and myself now, besides the fact
we share a (now post – pubescent) body?

What is the point of worrying about self
if self is always in a constant state of change?

Why should we bother assigning identity to what is essentially an
ever- changing motion picture.

I’m sure I’m over analyzing again.
I know that the series of events in our life
are what contributes to our evolution.
People change, that’s just a part of life.
Just because were in a state of gradual evolution
doesn’t mean that we have no identity; indeed
that identity is probably what’s guiding the evolution.

Another Beautiful Day! Right!

Today is a great day to think for some new variety,
some new excitement in my life!

Then you are hit with the realization that you are stuck in a rut:
everyday you do the same ish, kids, work, and paying bills. I love my kids, but there’s must
be more to my life than the rest of this BS.

You vow to God to start making changes in your life, today.
You can make big decisions or you can make small decisions.
You are in total control.

You are trying to think of a new way to
change your life when a close friend of yours happened
to pop in.

You talk ish for a while. You tell him about your day; he
tells you about his…. Yada! Yada! Yada!

A few drinks later time passes by, and soon you have forgotten
all about your decision to effect some positive change in your daily routine.

Only later, in the evening do you realize that you spent
another day stuck in your self-imposed rut!
Another day, down the drain!

Damn! Well there’s nothing you can do about that now.
Tomorrow is another day, what could happen did happen.
Live To Fight Another day!
Well it time to go to bed!
You Look over at your family
and thank God
that you do have a beautiful family, a job to go to, and bills to pay.

your parents were the bomb good or bad.

I don’t know if you realized it,
but they made a series of decisions big or small
that led to their meeting and ultimately your birth,
which sounds boring until I rephrase it and tell you
that they held the very fact of your Life in their hands,
casually and unwittingly playing with the essence of your existence.
Maybe you were just a drink or two away or maybe the Isley Brothers had something to do with it. Either way your life is precious and they are responsible for that.
Even if they are here in spirit or weren’t even involved;we are an extension of them;
so let’s be grateful.
