Flipping The Script

Today is one of those days where I have to lie to myself to keep myself from being completely down. So bare with me while I take you on a journey of how I manipulate myself into believing that I am in total control of what goes on in my life.

Tired Of Paying Bills!

Well I don’t pay bills. That’s right I said it. I pay Bribes.
When my rent is due, I pay regional management bribes to ensure that the roof over my head doesn’t disappear. When I’m hungry you know what I do? I walk right into a grocery store and steal a cart, fill it up with whatever foods I want, and then I financially coerce their cashier into letting me leave with the goods! Other times I just barge into a restaurant sit myself down, and just tell whoever walks by what I want cooked for me.

I’m a bad ass right! At least in my mind I am.

It all started when I decided to stop paying bills and instead start offering bribes for the precise amount of the bill…. Yeah that’s Flipping The Script right?lol

First Comes Struggle Then Comes Glory

This poem was written in 2008. My brother in-was killed on August 10, 2007 about a month after he gave his life to Christ. I was present to walk him down to the Alter at the church. God moves in mysterious ways doesn't he.

I watched you struggle to find your way

I knew this Sunday would be the day

You looked at me with a glare in your eyes

I could see that Jesus was claiming your life

You gave him your soul and now your okay

A few weeks later you passed away

I wish we could have you, but he chose you today

I'm glad the devil didn't get the final say

I Love My Country: But We Can Be Shitty Sometimes

(I Mean That Literally)

Did you know that when we flush our toilet,
It fills again with clean drinking water. I don’t mean
that we should drink it. I’m just implying that we
sh*t in water the we could drink.

That’s kind of crazy don’t you think people?

We do everything with drinkable water. Wash
dishes in drinkable water: Makes sense! Wash clothes in
drinkable water: I understand. I just don’t see any
reason why poop water should be drinkable. We should
be filling our toilets up with recycled water that’s already
been used for washing clothes or whatever!

I mean think of how really privileged we are and I thinks
It’s a pretty f*cked up that while there are places where
clean water is hard to come by, if available at all (see Haiti),
we are literally sh*tting in it.

Am I politicising our sh*tting or does anyone else find this strange.
