Who's In Control

I’ve been

thinking….

If my decisions

are based on my

desires, and my

desires are just

the product of

genetics and

environmental factors

beyond my control,

then I have no

control over the decisions that I make! Right!

See, If I am a product of my environment or

genetically predisposed, then each actions

I take….. could not have been taken any other way.

Meaning I had No Choice!

Like sleeping with any chick that I know isn’t going benefit me to say the least (UGLY) or (Dysfunctional)  smh

I could say that "Poppa Was A Rolling Stone" and that it’s in me to knock her down…or

all the men in my family are "Alcoholics" so there’s really no avoiding it.

I would also be implying that Free Will doesn’t exist.

Wouldn’t that be convenient?

This Theory fails to account

the fact that we

obviously can make decisions,

and that we do so constantly

on a regular basis…not to mention that

#SlaveryIsOver .

Can you tell me that you

Think that your brain is

Nothing more than a

Complicated computer with

Delusions of

Grandeur?

If you think Yes

than you

are probably

DRUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let’s stop with the #ResponsibilityDeflection

and take back control over our Lives.

Polluted Wisdom

What Are You Listening To?

What Company Are You Keeping?

Luke 8:18 (New King James Version)

18. “Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”

What you have in this life is tied to what you hear on a daily basis and what you hear affects your faith. This is why Jesus goes on to tell His disciples that whoever has, more will be given and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him. If you don’t use your faith, which is a product of what you hear, then you will not be able to obtain or protect the things of this life. That goes the same with who you keep in your presence on a daily basis affects to some degree affect what you believe. …because people around you can have an influence on your thoughts.
People today love not knowing cause Ignorance is #bliss…. And people take pride in not knowing..Listen to the music of today which goes completely against God’s word or gives out false representations of what God’s Word is. You got albums with Love making hits on it and on that same album have the nerve to include gospel songs smh. #MentalGames their playing and the shame is the crime is undetectable by the Feds
Cuz in the head of our kids is where the track is

And the music shoots str8ght to the soul it’s so potent

So much more addictive than crack…now the high is just an illusion

Lies and confusion…but just for that rush the young bucks will listen to it

So in essence… their still flooding these streets with drugs and killing

Their just using record labels to do them.

See America makes you an opportunist..

Then at the same time institutionalize you..

So the fact that you see people getting these fat record deals, big money, then go to jail

Shouldn’t surprise you..

That’s what lies do

and most of these guys have raw talent..just infantile education

So the business feed them
All the weed, ecstasy,
And the little bit of paper to provide
Some pacification from all the bullsh*t
Frustration they serve you

See they took all of our business men and made the drug dealers….

Took all of our messengers and made the rappers ..just flapping their gums afraid to admit their treason.

Took all of our soldiers and made the killer for no reason …

And being f cked up…that’s in this season

So if you’re negative you positive and if you’re positive you’re called a #hater….

That’s why I maintain control over my soul…because I know it get greater later….

And I can do all through God my creator…

That’s why Jesus lets us know by acting on faith, that you will be able to receive and keep all that the Lord has for you. So, If you “do not have”, then you need to check up on what you have been hearing, and consequently believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth.

Getting Into Character: What's Yours

In life we all have a purpose….we all have a fundamental reason we exist.

That’s simply means

that we all have some affect over your life and our own.

We are MothersFathers….Sisters….BrothersBest friends….Confidants

employersemployees…and even if you are unemployed, drug addicted and homeless

Your Lives Are Not In Vain!

More Importantly we are  Men/Women 1st
Some of us grasp our purpose early on, while the rest of us go through a multitude of trials and tribulations to finally figure it out.
Others die trying ….not realizing that your purpose really isn’t that hard to find.

I know that I am guilty of making life harder than it really is….I’ve over analyzed the littlest things,
complicating things that may make one question life itself…..but in the end I found out that
I am faith, trust, hope! I am the profound belief in a power larger and more important than us. I am truth and beauty! I am love and humility!  If you notice faith, trust, hope! I am the profound belief in a power larger and more important than us is the definition of Religion… That’s all we are people… Believe in something  …..You have a better chance at cracking this thing called Life.

Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say (God's Word)

Miranda Rights:

2. Anything you say will be held against you in a court of law.

Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)

21. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it’s fruit.

Medical science has proven that you are what you eat. So, if you eat rotten apples, what are you going to be? Sick!

The same thing is true with the words you speak. Even just one spoken word can change your life for the better or worse.

You choose for the better or for worse with the words that you speak.

Have you ever talked your way into trouble? Or spoke something negative into in existence?

This is why we must say what the Word of God says. That is what we should be speaking. God’s Word has a solution to every challenge we can face in this lifetime. So we must speak the SOLUTION!

SHOUTOUT THURSDAY: BLOGGERS UNITED

Today's Shoutout is 2 Bubbly Blackgirl
Check Out Getting Over It

The answers to life inquiries manifests itself in the most unexpected forms. While we can surely seek them out, they’re better received when they reveal themselves, naturally.

Everything we go through in life is a part of a larger journey, that requires us to endure certain parts so that we may grow into better beings. Before we walked we first crawled. We could not ride a bike, without first learning with training wheels, and a helmet, and kneepads.

Such is the same for relationships. No one wakes up one day Married, and or magically with the “Man of their Dreams”. Nor do they abruptly go from a break up to quickly being “Over It!” Hopefully, in due time they will get to that point, where they’ve successfully and happily moved on, but such is not a process that can happen overnight.

I’ve attempted to just cut things off with the Ex. To go cold turkey, and not take his calls or just simply not see him. Besides, everyone has told me to just cut him off completely. I’d heard their stories about how they’d gotten over and moved on from their Infamous Ex(es). The recurring theme had been that one day they had just had enough, and voila they were soon on to the next.

But no one tells of the days before, of cried tears and pathetic wishes on shooting stars. No one utters the longings felt for loves now past. No one tells of the journey that led up to that moment of “Enough. I’m over it.”

Sometime ago, the most random person gave me the best advice about how to deal with the awkward relationship I now have with my Ex. Her words, encouraged me to let things play out between us as they are. Wait, before you holler STUPID, from the tips of your tongue, here’s why.

She confirmed that I would get to that point where I’m fed up or just tired of the back and forth, but the abrupt cut off, only inspires more of the merry-go-round. Instead, she recommended that I let this “quasi” relationship, run its course. The course would get me to that breaking point. And that’s when it will be over.

Surprisingly (or not), I can’t help but to agree with her.

So, instead of fighting the wave, I went along with it. I enjoyed the beautiful moments we shared, such as quiet walks or weekend breakfasts. Even the nights spent together. Instead of fighting in my head, “Where’s this going?” “Why doesn’t he want me back?” I just relaxed and enjoyed it all.

Shortly after, my moment came. Followed by the point where I just couldn’t do it anymore, and the feeling of another tear rolling down my cheek angered me. The thought of telling another, “I HATE MY EX Story”, though, made me laugh. It got to the point where I could no longer be mad at him, but instead at myself for enabling him…Yep, that was the icing of my moment and the motivation I needed to strengthen myself to getting over it.

SHOUTOUT THURSDAY: BLOGGERS UNITED

2day is the first of my Thursday SHOUTOUTS
brought 2 you by way of BLOGGERSUNITED

Jasmine is a very insightful writer who offers you creative writing that's funny, intellectual, and very thought provoking. She is very versatile. Her is 1 of her post that I found interesting.

The Thrill Of The Chase http://eyekandee05.wordpress.com/

The thought of wanting what you can’t have is what adds fuel to our fire. Is it that you really want what you are seeking so desperately, simply because you can’t have it? Some of us operate this way. I can remember a time myself where I wanted to be with a certain someone to where it consumed my thoughts day and night. I stopped at nothing. Every trick and tactic you can think of; I did. And yet, it got me nowhere. It was only after I realized I was driving myself insane did I stop.  It took absolutely no time for him to come knocking on my door trying to get back in once he figured out I had moved on. I ended up going back simply because I had wanted the relationship to work for so long, or so I thought. To be honest, I was completely miserable! I was in a place where my heart wasn’t and I’m not the type of person to fake it till I make it, so I bounced…I guess it was just the thrill of the chase (rejection).

Live Your Life For you: Understanding Ethical Relativsm

I’m 30yrs old now and I’d have to say

that I pretty much know what’s best for me by now. I’m not implying that I know everything, but I’ll be the judge of me and you be the judge of you.

I have absolutely no right to judge your beliefs and you have no right to judge mine.

What’s the point!

All beliefs and ethics are “relative” anyway!

I drink this Henny because I feel it’s what I want to do! Don’t judge me! Even if you believe its wrong…… Which one of us is right anyway? What you can’t handle might be fine for me.

It can be argued that in every rational person (the definition of “rational” is touchy subject I won’t explain for now) there are certain properties common to all. The problem ( well, one problem) with relativism is how it, nihilistically privileges the experience of the individual above all else, making every ethical decision the right ethical decision: who would not like to have his or her beliefs guaranteed to be as correct as anybody else’s? But this is done at the cost of ignoring our shared qualities, turning away from the fact that despite different languages and cultures (and continents and skin colors) we all believe some of the same things. With that striking fundamental truth removed, the Prostitutes and the Saints stand side by side, equals in righteousness. What do you think?

Why We Buy (Subliminal Messages)

This A Blast From The Past
I was 18 when I wrote this how lame lol

Wow! I feel corny lls...but I wanted to share any ways
so tell me what you think and be honest :)

Did you hear those words underneath the loud lyrics

or was you just a victim of your inner desires

that held you hostage in this game

of supply and demand.

We’re you oblivious, or did you just lack self-control.

Either way you didn’t walk to the beat of

your own drum and now you stand still

in line wondering how did you get here in the first place.

See your conscious mind told you

that it wasn’t okay to buy that, but the

waves within sound system told you otherwise.

While you thought you were

listening to Janet Jackson over those speakers,

there were subliminal messages that attacked

your mind like a plague on your immune system.

With your brain occupied, your reasoning becomes impaired

leaving you capable of buying any

and everything the store has to offer.

When you realized you were home

your brain took back over and as you go

to open your bags: a Mariah Carey CD

Who the f ck bought that!

Quotes 2 Live By: Road 2 Success

God uses PAIN to Inspect us,Correct us,Direct us & Perfect us.

"Discontent is the first necessity of progress." — Thomas A. Edison

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

“High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.” -Jack Kinder

“Our strength often increases in proportion to the obstacles imposed upon it.”-Paul De Rapin

Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success. ~Dale Carnegie

The road to achieving great things always has adversity. If there's a road with no obstacles, it probably leads to nowhere.

Promiscuity: The Double Standard

I know that a lot of you readers out there know all about the double standard between men and women. People tend to believe that men have it easier than women when it comes to being Promiscuous. It's Very True! Men do have it easier, but men don't get off scott free. While women tend to get judged more by their peers, men tend to have more problems in their relationships. Yeah our girlfriends my not call us skanks and sluts, but they do raise their eyebrows when it comes to giving us their complete trust. Men are more than likely to except a woman with a Promiscuous past than a woman would of a man. When have you seen a women come home to her family and introduced her stripper boyfriend. Not that all strippers are promiscuous, but men fall in love with strippers all the time. They even have songs glorifying it like... "I'm in love with a stripper" by T-Pain or the movie "Pretty Woman" where Richard Gere falls in love with the prostitue Julia Roberts . While women are being put down for the exploits they are more likely to be forgiven. People question their upbringing, childhood, etc......but on the otherhand men we are just dogs, immoral beings so to speak. All men want is sex according to society. We underline what's in bold "Promiscuity", but does anyone really care why.

I Have A Mission: by John Henry

I am created to do something or to be something for which no else is created; I have a place in God’s counsel in God’s world, which no one else has; whether I be rich or poor, despised or esteemed by man, God knows me and calls me by name.

God has created me to do Him some definite service; He has committed some work to me which He has not committed to another. I have my mission. I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. Somehow I am necessary for His purposes…..

I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for nothing. I shall do good; I shall do His work. I shall be an angel of peace, a preacher of truth in my own place, while not intending it, if I do but keep His commandments.

THEY SAY MONEY CAN'T BUY LOVE, BUT I WOULD SURE IN HELL LIKE TO FIND OUT

I was asked to write a blogg about why “Men equate love with giving gifts (also used for fake apologies), while Women equate love by cooking and cleaning”. Sorry it took so long for me to write about it, but I’m writing about it now. I don’t personally think gifts equal love, but I could understand how a man may think gifts are an equal way of showing love. First of all real men are givers by nature so anything that he could give to his significant other may make him feel as if he is showing her some form of love. Note that I said "real men". When you see the look in your women’s eyes after you have given a present, you can tell that she feels some form of love or affection. Secondly I have never known a female who met a gift that she didn’t like. I’m not trying to be offensive in anyway, but theirs more demand for what a man can do with his pockets then that of a women. Usually you win her over by doing nice things for her. Not necessarily buying gifts, but by taken her out to movies, dinner, or by sending flowers. I do believe that men do more than buy gifts to show love, but it’s usually overlooked when the gifts stop coming in. The first thing your girl would tell you is you don’t do the things you used to do. That’s usually centered around something financial. All of a sudden your jokes aren’t enough anymore. Neither is your charming personality.
Remember the phrases “no romance without finance” or “what have you done for me lately". Independent women of today don’t want a man with less than what they have, even though men still are willing to take a woman with less .Even men who make less money than his girlfriend still end up spending more money showering her with gifts. As far as men using gifts to break the ice in the form of an apology…. that depends on the women. Again something that I’ve never done or at least I don’t think I’ve done consciously. I know men are opportunist and will take advantage of anything that will get him out of a situation. If you are that simple that you can’t see when he is buying your forgiveness than that’s a damn shame. When I am mad at a women the only thing that you can do to resolve the situation is to take responsibility for your part in the situation, no gift can overturn that. I guess that’s what’s makes men and women different huh.
I’m no cave man, but in 2010 women aren’t that big on cooking or cleaning. Even when they stay at home instead of working they are more concerned with proving to you that women don’t have to cook or clean anymore than they are with just taking on a role of some form. I do believe that there are some women who are still willing to cook or clean for their men, but not that many. I know the question was geared towards the women who cook or clean so here we go. Men are big kids; it doesn’t take much to satisfy most of us. Feeding us and taking care the house hold makes a man feel like what he is doing is worth while. We love to feel appreciated and the women in our life who are willing to do those things will inherit man who will go through extreme measures to put a smile on there face.
It’s not just about us being lazy, it’s about appreciation. Real men and note that I said real can’t be bought and since most of us do provide (that’s real men again) instead of gifts we prefer a nice home cooked meal. Give him a sandwhich and some peace while he watches the game and he will probably make you his wife lls.

Driving the Distance

This Too Is A Passage That Was Given To Me As I Reached The Darkest Points In My Life.
Sometimes We All Need Reassurance
"There Is Light At The End Of The Tunnel".

Mathew 5:44-55 God sendeth rain on the Just and Unjust Alike.

Phillipians 4:13
“I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called
Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

Time 2 Check Ourselves

Society On A Decline

In a world where we acknowledge a rapper named Jay-Z by the name Jehovah, getting shot 9 times can make your album go platinum like 50 cents, and being the Terminator can get you elected governor like Arnold Schwarzenegger, of course you have to say the world f’cked up. This era in time will rely heavily on parents teaching their children moral values at home, because they damn sure aren’t going to get them anywhere else. Whatever happened to "it takes a village to raise a child", now you hear celebrities saying things like they aren't role models. These are the people who have a heavy influence over our children. Also Christ has been removed from his own Holliday and replaced with X-mas, while prayer has been taken completely out of our schools. “In God we Trust” reads the back of our dollar bills, yet we do everything opposite God to earn a buck. It is easy to see how the world has fallen so far so fast.

Right now our children are at war with themselves. When you turn on the news they are killing each other and committing the crimes. They are more concerned with who look the best and who's blinging, instead of who they can trust and depend on the most. It was teenagers who killed the NFL's rising star Sean Taylor and teenage students who beat up their teacher on YouTube. Where is the guidance? When is their going to be a voice that they are familiar with that is going to step up and saying this isn't cool. This is not the way. Instead we have rappers who like their sprite easter pink, and spiritual leaders who molest children. Parent's, it's time for us to take our house holds back. Aren't you tired of seeing kids who can do the Stanky Leg, but can't count to 10. It is up to us to set the example starting in our own households. Stop trying to be their homie and start trying to be their leader, their guidance, their confidant.

Obama said it best when he said "We are the ones we've been waiting for". It is time for us to stop waiting on the next generation to clean up our mess. As parents we need step our game up. Our children are running our households. Let's bring back the respect and discipline that they need. Let's eat together as a family even if you are single parent home. Let's get our children back in bible study or Sunday school. You let them go out on Saturday; they can get up for church on Sunday. Let's support our kids in their extracurricular activity instead of their gang friends. How do you think this world got out of control in the first f ckin place? We allowed society to adopt our children instead of spending the necessary time with them that they needed. Let's remove the play stations out our living rooms so that our little children can have an imagination. Let's instill faith, hope, and prosperity into their lives. Most importantly let's stop telling our children what they can't do and start telling them what they can do.

My New Address

This sent me via e-mail back in 2006 from a close friend of mine when I was going thru a crucial point in my life and I used it as a blue print on rebuilding my life.

I have moved!

Can’t remember if I told you that:

I have moved out from 1 Beggars’ Alley, located at
2 Poverty Lane at the corner of Down and Out Circle. As of today, I have a brand new
Home.

My new address is Living Well on 3rd Abundance Drive, located at the corner of
Blessings Street and Prosperity Peak. It’s in the God Can neighborhood. No longer will I
Allow myself to travel to the other side of town on Begging Peter to Pay Paul Route, located
At a Dead End Intersection called I Don’t Have, it connects with Borrowers Junction.

I no longer hang out at Failure’s Place, near Excuses Avenue, next to Procrastination
Point. I’ve moved to an upscale community called Higher Heights with unlimited
Potential and opportunities for me to succeed. I can do ALL things through Christ who
Strengthens me!

Life is good because God is good! Care to change your address? There are many vacancies!

Great Is Thy Faithfulness
I am well blessed and so are you, in spite of temporary
Circumstances!!!!!!!!
